It does irk me when people less talented are chosen for gigs, overlooking professional, experienced singers. It happens to me all the time. But I’ve also learned that sometimes truly great talent can be found in very ordinary places- like Karaoke bars. I don’t know the particulars as to Boston’s decisions. I’m out of the loop there, but I did think this was an interesting story about possibilities that wait through odd windows. For me, it illustrates the importance of showing up and doing the best you can with what you’ve got, trusting that, somehow and in some way, it matters. Thanks very much for your comment!
